We’re Sorry

Hi everyone, we were blown away last week by the response to the sales for our last ever event! However you may have noticed over on socials that we suffered a few technical issues. Essentially we crashed the cookery school website, which hasn’t been tested as a ticket queue system before! In summary, it allowed the sale of 47 tickets, for a 20 ticket event, before showing as sold out.

Dan and I have been thinking long and hard about what to do. We could do one big event, but we wouldn’t want to impact on the overall quality of the event and experience. We could hold an additional event, but as we do this on top of hectic full time jobs and families etc we’re not sure if this is feasible. Whilst we’re working all of that out we didn’t want to be holding on to the money of people who had booked on but who didn’t currently have a space, and so we have asked the cookery school to refund those spaces. To be as fair as possible we have done this on a first come first served basis. So if you are booking 1 to 20 then you have nothing to worry about, but if you are booking 21 to 47 you will have received an email from the cookery school, explaining that the event is oversubscribed, and a full refund.

In the event that we find a way to put on an additional event the 27 people we have had to let down will have first refusal to any additional spaces. We can’t apologise enough for this situation. We hate letting people down and were looking forward to catching up with old friends and doing a nice thing for charity. We’re sorry if this has impacted you and hope you are not too disappointed. If anything is not clear please do email us or the cookery school

We thank you in advance for your understanding.

Cook, Eat, Repeat – Dinner at the Manor’s FINAL EVER SUPPERCLUB!

Saturday 25th February 2023, 7pm to 10pm Leeds Cookery School £60pp

Tickets are now on sale for our final ever supperclub! Dan and I started running Leeds’ longest running secret supperclub, Dinner at the Manor, over 10 years ago.

Our monthly feasts, served out of Dan’s Victorian home in West Leeds, were themed around the different cook books on Dan’s heaving bookshelves and ranged from Korean, American, European to Mrs Beeton!

The pandemic caused a brief hiatus, but we are now back to throw one last dinner party as a final farewell and to raise funds for Leeds Cookery School’s charity arm – Zest, who tackle health inequalities and poverty in Leeds. The theme for this event takes the Manor back to where it all started with Nigella’s ‘Cook, Eat Repeat’.

This unique Chef’s Table event gets you full access to the Manor’s infamous 8 course tasting menu, a welcome drink, corkage for you to BYOB, water, tea and coffee, lots of other tasty treats and the warm fuzzy feeling of helping out a brilliant local charity.

This is an interactive event, sat round one big communal table and the chance to chat with Dan and I, as we cook, to get all the supperclub gossip from the last decade before we say goodbye!

To bag one of just 20 exclusive tickets you can book on via the Leeds Cookery School website

Please note that we’ll be able to provide vegetarian alternatives at this event but for any other specific requirements then please get in touch ahead of booking to see if we can accommodate.

We’re Back!

It’s nearly 3 whole years since covid rudely interrupted our supperclub reign in Leeds but we’re coming back for one last time to say a proper goodbye and farewell! Things have moved on for Dan and I in that time, moving houses (and out of Leeds!) being a big part of that. But we still have a passion for cooking up delectable feasts and so we couldn’t bring an end to the Manor without marking the occasion.

For our final hoorah we’re taking it right back to where it all started by theming this event around Nigella’s ‘Cook, Eat, Repeat’. Our old supperclub friends will recall that Nigella’s Feast was the inspiration for our first ever event and as ‘Cook, Eat, Repeat’ has strong connotations with the pandemic and comforting lockdown food, it seemed very apt to come back to this.

This event will be on Saturday 25th February 2023, 7pm to 10pm.

We’re hooking up with our friends at Leeds Cookery School to host an exclusive dinner party, with BYOB. We’ll be bringing back our infamous 8 course tasting menu, a welcome drink, other tasty treats, and the chance to reminisce on all the supperclub gossip from the last 10 years. What’s more all of the proceeds of this event will be going to the charity, Zest, who run the cookery school. Zest tackle inequalities and poverty in Leeds and is a great cause to fundraise for.

So if you fancy one last chance to dine with us in a very unique venue and for a very good cause, then get your tickets quickly as they do tend to sell out fast. Tickets would also make great Christmas gifts for foodie friends and family.

Tickets will go on sale 7pm on Tuesday 8th November 2023 via a link from this blog

We can’t wait to see you!
